I'm a poor sort of cat mother!

I just discovered that I locked my cat in the spare room for three days! He never made a peep, and I never missed him because he often takes off for a couple days at a time outside. Poor thing was in there with no food, water or litterbox! He came out and ate a big bunch of food and now will probably be sick. When Elizabeth got up from her nap she went and stood by the door and said "kitty bob!" She was with me when we went to get something out of that room and must have seen him run in before we went out. I wish she'd said something earlier, LOL!

Poor boy. What a bad sort of momma locks children in rooms for days on end?! And especially never notices she's done it!

Ahhhhhhh - that's sad Corbin ! But - don't worry - he probably had a lovely long undisturbed sleep.

My cats would love to do that but my dd always goes and pokes them awake !

Our cat was locked in my DS's bedroom for one whole week when we were on holiday! The daft neighbour who was feeding the cats couldn't tell them apart and thought he was feeding both! They both regularly get locked in the garage as well.

My cat has been locked in the linen cupboard a few times, and the garage. I'd been searching for something in the linen cupboard one day, and she must've snuck in while I wasn't looking. I shut the doors and it wasn't until later that night, I commented to dh that the cat hadn't come home for her dinner. A while later we were watching tv and we could hear these feeble scratching noises coming from somewhere. It finally dawned on me that she must've been snooping around in the linen cupboard while I had the doors open. She didn't even miaow once to come out! I've also found her stuck behind the clothes dryer and curled up in a variety of places having a sleep. It's so true, the cat & curiosity thing.

Corbin, the time to worry is when you discover you've shut your children somewhere for 3 days and not noticed.

I've been tempted but unfortunately DS1 can reach the door handles now
