We are looking to move out of London. We need the following...

-4-5 bedrooms
-reasonable sized garden

  • walking distance to train which goes direct to London in less than 50mins or somewhere easily commutable direct to Canary Wharf (would love semi rural but being realistic as know we need to be near a station aswell and the 2 don't go that well together)
-good schools junior and senior

I need to be able to buy a 4-5bed house for less than £450K

HEEEEEELPPPP

I can't find anywhere that fits the bill...

Kelvedon, Essex-about 50mins ino Liverpool Street, lovely countryside and I think the schools are quite good. I have some friends who live nearby.

what about wivenhoe (its a bit further 1hr 5 mins on the train) but goes to L street and stratford which is good for canary warf?

have a look at places up the cambridge Kings Cross line there is also a cambridge liverpool street line. not sure on budget for house but journey time should be do-able

Hemel Hempstead

From the house in this link:

5 min walk to train station

30 min to Euston, travel links to north too.

10 min drive from countryside

20 mins from woodland countryside

Best primary sch in town

Catholic primary and secondary within 5 min journey (20 min walk to Sec C school if you want)

Brilliant secondary schools too

greenery in this area especially - the moor, Gadebridge park down the road and loads of fields dotted around

come and live in Braiswick or west bergholt (tho the nW of colchester. You would easily find a property to fit the bill. My DH commutes to london every day - takes about 50mins. Colchester is a good place to live imho - some lovely countryside around here. Very good grammar schools.
