i have bought a set of car mats , they were listed as used but descibed as in excellent condition.

when recieved this morning i was v. dissapointed to find that the colour around the edge was a mucky pink and they were absolutley filthy - not even vacumed or anything.

i sent her an e-mail warning her that unless we could come to some arrange ment that i would neg her.

i told her that to actually get to thepost office to return the item would cost me more in lost wages than the item was worth and i wasn't happy

she had offered refund ( big deal) on return of item.

should i neg her?

i have only ever had 1 problem in 5 years. am v. dissapointed that i have to spend my time packing an item, leaving work early - paying for the postage and waiting for my money back.

i want to neg her but i know how serious this is in the ebay world

Hello Custy, nice to "see" you!
Not sure what to do regards OP. If she has offered to refund you, then I would say no to negative. I would wait though until the refund has come through, as it should be for your cost of item plus the postage for you to return it.

AgonyBeetle · 28/04/2008 17:44

this is a giant pain in the backside. You can neg her, but she'll neg you as well. Depends on whether your feedback profile is more important to you than you think hers is to her iyswim. I sell a lot, so I'd be too cowardly, I think.

But then my car looks like a mobile landfill site anyway so a little extra dirt would fit right in. Depends how fussy you are, I guess.

thanks

if she has agreed to refund, and you believe her, then neutral would be more appropriate, I think. What it costs you to get to Post Office isn't really her concern.

Tortington · 28/04/2008 17:46

for the cost of the iem i cannot be fucked going to post office.

idont give s shit if she negs me.

more please more

Neutral might be better.

AgonyBeetle · 28/04/2008 17:52

If you don't gve a shit, then neg her good and proper.

I think it's fair enough, actually -- I bend over backwards to describe every tiny fault on items I'm selling, and always get paranoid that I might have discovered some minute defect that will really piss off the buyer. I think sending stuff that is actively dirty/stained/damaged without explaining it really clearly in the listing is completely out of order. It's happened to me as well, and is just horrible as well as a total waste of everyone's time.

Then neg her.

If you give her a neutral she will neg you anyway.

Beelliesebub · 28/04/2008 18:36

You could wait until the new ebay rules come in and then neg her.....

Daisysmiles · 28/04/2008 19:12

Don't give neutral...as she will just leave you neg in return!

Tortington · 28/04/2008 21:01

balls missed the last 3 - have given her neutral.

thanks eeryone xxxxxxxxxxxx

let her feel the force of your follow up if she negs you.

In excellent used condition. Would come up ok if washed and hoovered.
that's honest.
sheesh

Tortington · 28/04/2008 21:10

can you wash car mats - wont they come out crinkly?

OP posts:
blueshoes · 28/04/2008 21:59

Custy, the item did not fit the description. They were described as excellent condition, they were not. In those circumstances, I would not only ask for a refund on the value of the item, I would ask for refund of postage, as well as refund of the cost of return postage.

Having wasted your time is bad enough.

If she disagrees, I would neg her.

On her leaving neg feedback for you, come 1st May, sellers can no longer leave negative feedback for buyers beyond comments. I don't know if this applies to auctions that end prior to that date. Something to bear in mind.

Tortington · 29/04/2008 11:53

thanks blue shoes i didn't know that
