dd is nearly 4, it would be one on one, in london, cant go to natural swimming as already have something on.

Well, DD is currently paying £22 an hour for driving lessons, so I'd think this is pretty expensive even for one to one -unless the swimmiming teacher has to pay for exclusive use of the pool.

mumblechum · 22/04/2008 14:19

That seems awfully expensive. When my ds learned about 7 years ago I think I paid about a fiver a session, tho' that was in a group.

Iklboo · 22/04/2008 14:26

Silly question but do your local authority do sessions? Ours do a course that works out about 8 a session I think. Not 1 to 1 but a small group

cba · 22/04/2008 14:28

yes i pay £25.00 per half hour for one to one and i am in the north of england.

MrsMattie · 22/04/2008 14:28

My 3 yr old's lessons are £70 for 12 lessons with the L.A (not one-to-one, but small group)

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:28

we are paying £200 for 12 lessons with natural swimming (one ot one)

Mikafan · 22/04/2008 14:29

I paid £11 for half an hour, seems a lot to me

hippipotami · 22/04/2008 14:30

Gasp, that is expensive. Here in (expensive) Surrey it is £11 - £16 for half an hour depending on which pool you use.

hifi · 22/04/2008 15:08

i wanted natural nailpolish but they only seem to do sat am. she did ask where i lived as soon as i asked how much so dont know if that makes a difference. hmm, maybe i will look elsewhere. i wanted one on one as she messes around in groups.

Maybe the price was based on which pool you live nearest too. My friend's dd has private lessons, and I know the swimming teacher has to pay to use the local leisure centre out of what she charges for the lesson.

Hunt around a bit, there may be something a little more reasonable.

Good luck

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 16:35

yes, we had to go with saturdya mornings. i know what you mean.

Novicecamper · 22/04/2008 16:37

I pay £23.50 for a half hour one to one lesson for mine.

Novicecamper · 22/04/2008 16:37

I'm in North West too.

hifi · 22/04/2008 16:42

seems expensive - we pay £12.50 for a half hour one-to-one lesson (Southern England)
