My dd has just vomited on our wicker table

We have a small wicker coffee table that I (stupidly) let 4 yo dd use to eat her lunch today. Next thing she vomited EVERYWHERE- no warning, no nausea, nada, just vomit all over the place.
As I said, it is made of wicker and the vomit has seeped into all the little gaps and I cannot get it out- have wiped with a cloth and even tried using a paintbrush to get it out before the smell knocked me out.
I've dumped the table in the kitchen for now- AIBU to dump it for good rather than trying to clean all the nooks and crannies? Or is there another way that avoids me being too close to it?
(BTW dd is fine, asking for cake and blackcurrant and says she's going to dancing lesson later on )

I'd take it out in the garden and hose it down at high pressure. Have you tried spraying it with disinfectant to get rid of the smell?

Children - doncha love em?!

I sprayed it with disinfectant but there are still lumps in the gaps so the smell won't go away. I might try the hose outside but it's got a magazine rack bit on it too and it means emptying that etc etc [grumble] [groan] [moan]
I can't believe she is 4 yo and has only ever been sick once before and the next time she decides to do it it ends up all over my blardy table.
Maybe I could leave it for dh

Oh yes, leave it for dh, that's what I'd do

D'you know, I winced with sympathy at the thread title? We had to throw away ds2's car seat after his first ever bout of car sickness (we are better prepared these days) as we just couldn't get all of it out and it still smelled even after removing the covers, dismantling the bits we could get at, hosing it down in the garden...

but yes, I agree, it's a Man Job if ever I heard of one

Lol SorenLorenson
I spoke to dh and he feels a bit rough so might be a bit mean to leave it for him.
However, if he already feels sick surely the smell won't make him any worse whereas with me...mums just don't get sick. Or tired. Or stressed.
