Ok, well I think I just managed to bankrupt myself for the forseeable future.

Dd1 went to see a new dance class today and loved it, so thats £7.50 every Saturday, plus 3 pairs of shoes, tights and a leotard.

Then Dd2 managed to persuade me to get her on the waiting list for Gymnastics

DD1 (just 5) did do swimming and ballet. Swimming was £4 something for half an hour and ballet £2.50 for half an hour. She loved both but was stupidly tired so I dropped ballet and then dropped swimming when she started school. It was the right thing to do but I am wondering if we should pick the swimming up again soon.....
DD2 is 2.8 and does Jo Jingles £4. something per session. This is for me too though to make sure I concentrate on her for at least 45mins in the week . She also does nursery two morning sessions (does that count?) at £8 per morning...

I think there is a lot of pressure to get them in doing stuff. I was gobsmacked my friend had her daughter dancing at 2.5 , but I soon joined in the palaver because I was worried my dd's would be missing out .

Oh and dd1 will have a Drama club at school this term for £1.50 a session (subsidised by PTA).

dd is 5 and has basketball on monday (£1 per week, plus £20 a year for insurance. no kit), rainbows on tuesday(£1 a week and £30 a year insurance. v relaxed about uniform - dd just has wee tshirt) and has just given up ballet on fridays (£40ish a term, kit plus gear for recitals) she gave it up cause although she absolutely adored it, she would fall asleep on way there in car. just too tired! She wants to take up karate on wednesday instead
