I know this has been done before, but a search didn't turn up what I'm after.

I want to keep some of the DC's best pictures and early bits of writing to chuckle over fondly and embarrass them with when I am in my dotage.

I think people on here have mentioned conservation-grade folders or something like that? Acid free plastic?

I have googled but can't find what I want. Ideally I would like A4 clear plastic folders with 1 or 3 open edges, even better if they have a hole punch edge so can be put in a binder. Or should I look for an album or scrapbook style thing?

I have a sheet music cabinet with items dated & named on various shelves.

Try Rymans - they'll def have the plastic folders, if not the scrapbooks (nicer option I think)

thanks, like the cabinet idea!

If you want acid-free stuff, try searching on sites for family history researchers, for folders or binders or whatever. That's exactly what is used for storing old letters, certificates etc.

And if you really have too much to store but don't want to bin it, take some really good photos or scans and store them on CD. Then just make sure they are copied every time technology moves on and a new storage medium emerges.
