Come on, we've all got one that for some particular reason gets on your nerves. Mine is Jamie Oliver, I hate his spitty mouth and I hate the way he acts like his a bit of a geezer when he so obviously isn't. And those flippin' Sainsbury's ads - arrghhh.............

Please let Debbie be pregnant by the cad, and for Roaghhhrwayqwertyuiop to be Tim's baby. And Jennifer to chuck him out and take up with a toyboy. And Elizabeth to get run over by a tractor.

janh · 26/11/2002 16:01

And Shula to be flattened by a flying saucer, please.

bossykate · 26/11/2002 19:22

oh i have clearly missed out on crucial developments! will have to settle in with the omnibus on sunday morning - perfect antidote to the party on sat night!

Shattered · 26/11/2002 23:37

Going a bit off track here but I just had to mention a couple of celebs - did anyone hear that Lisa Marie Presley and Nicolas Cage have now split up after being married three months ago? They are citing 'irreconcilable differences'. I mean, what the?????!!! I was just looking at their wedding pictures in a magazine last week. Just another display of total celebrity insanity.

bundle · 27/11/2002 10:42

shattered goes without saying that's she's bonkers, she married Michael Jackson too

KeepingMum · 27/11/2002 11:23

Ooh I love the Archers, we are a sad family without a television and need some kind of soap fix so the Archers has become a must-hear.
Debbie has to be pregnant, Brian will have to buy Honeysuckle Cottage for Debbie and Siobhan and they can both use the nursery for their respective babies. Then Brian can visit his son and granchild whenever he wants. How come half the village knows about the affair and yet Jennifer is oblivious - hasn't she seen it all before and recognise the signs, and why did Debbie conveniently forget that Simon told her about Brian and Siobhan - that was never mentioned again. Oh I can't wait until 7.02!

Clarinet60 · 27/11/2002 21:57

Yes, I wondered that about debbie knowing. I'm still fixated on ruth, I'm afraid. Did you know that today she told deevid that she wanted to cook the christmas dinner herself, despite having a mum and MIL available????????? And that she admitted to making her own noodles from scratch for some ocassion or other ? Even deevid said these noodles were a step too far. I couldn't agree more.
She has got to go.

titchy · 28/11/2002 10:14

Would suggest Michael Jackson but he'd only use it as an excuse for more plastic surgery!

susanmt · 28/11/2002 10:28

Jennifer Lopez. Is ANYONE more self obsessed ?(except Michael Jackson, but he's been mentioned already)

slug · 28/11/2002 12:20

Geri Halliwell is definitly in the Jenifer Lopez self obsession category.

clucks · 28/11/2002 12:21

I am not jealous of Geri Halliwell, but I am of Jennifer Lopez, who should be punched harder?

leander · 28/11/2002 12:33

not quite a celeb yet but that boy from popstars the rivals who is always crying(jamie I think) I'll really give him something to cry about if I ever see him!!

Zoe · 28/11/2002 18:06

Oooh Leander, yes Jamie is dreadful, I really wish he wasn't in the band as I actually LIKE the other boys who got in - had a sneaky suspiscion that none of the other boys liked him either so maybe they will do the honours for us...

Ger Halliwell..ugh

threeangels · 28/11/2002 18:24

One person who I cant stomach is Pamela anderson (Lee). She has to be one of the most trashiest women in showbiz.

hmb · 28/11/2002 18:27

Jumping back to The Archers, Jennifer must know about Brian and his bit of fluff. Someone marched in the countryside aliance thing with a placard that told her!

I thing that Siobohn will end up ditching Brian. She has the child she alays wanted and it sounds as if she may be feeling more guilty than he does at the moment.

janh · 28/11/2002 18:39

AND Terry Wogan has told her - obviously her mind was elsewhere both times, planning the next scrummy Hassett Hills lamb dish for Brian darling's supper probably.

Wouldn't it serve Brian right if Siobhan did ditch him? Ha!

LOVE the way this thread keeps jumping back and forth!

(BTW, re Debbie`"forgetting" what Simon told her, she rationalised it as him trying to get someone else into trouble instead of him, and then he said that was what he'd done, so we are supposed to believe that she really has forgotten. As if.)

aloha · 28/11/2002 20:17

Oh, I hate Ruth but also hate Elizabeth... Which one would I drop down a lift shaft...decisions, decisions...

hmb · 28/11/2002 20:20

Kate, and with luck she would land on Susan at the bottom!

Kenton would be next, then Lizzie, then brian and then Simon. And Eddie needs a good slapping most of the time

bossykate · 28/11/2002 20:44

my most hated character in the archers is without doubt elizabeth. remember all that fuss when phil and jill were going to leave the farm to david and ruth? only making the point for freddy and lily my ! plus - what really sealed her fate with me - remember her bragging about how much she did up till the last weeks of pregnancy, running the business, her with her heart condition and all... this was in comparison to ruth pregnant with third child, two more littl'uns to look after, running the farm etc, the same ruth who in elizabeth's eyes was slacking! grrr!

not that ruth isn't irritating occasionally but whiny, bossy, spoilt brat, naggy elizabeth... grrr!

oh dear, where did all that come from!

bossykate · 28/11/2002 20:45

sorry forgot to mention ruth recovering from cancer at the time...

some people have always got to top you, haven't they?

aloha · 28/11/2002 21:00

Even my normally oblivious dh was reduced to shouting 'shut up, you horrible woman' (or something less printable) at Elizabeth during the fight over the farm. Also hate her for being so close to Siobham. They just really irritate me as a pair.

janh · 28/11/2002 22:37

Oooh, that was a good bit of plotting. Do you remember when David got stuck under the cow on New Year's Eve? I missed the outcome on New Year's Day evening, and had a dental appt at 2pm on the 2nd, and SO had to know what happened I took one of those tiny radios with earphones to the dentist with me - he had to call me 3 times before I heard him and then thought the things in my ears were a hearing aid.

I think that was Lizzie at her worst. She has been relatively pleasant lately...maybe we are due a tantrum over Siobhan?

lou33 · 28/11/2002 22:43

Anna Nicloe Smith deserves a good beating too imo.

Tinker · 28/11/2002 23:29

Can someone pleeeeaaase punch Melanie Philips now on Question Time!

CAM · 29/11/2002 12:25
