pootling about on the sales thread , says i have to go to the classified section ,fair enough ,next thing i know it wants credit/debit card details err NO . What is going on ?

would they accept postal orders?i just read on another thread that they may accept cash?

I imagine they'll take a PO (mind you, it's 85p(!) for a £5 postal order) or cash instead of a cheque.

Those who just come on here to sell, and liberally use terms such as hun , and txt spk.

I dont like the them and us huns and non-huns attitude

makes me feel uncomfortable

No can't pay by cheque etc.

Hi, We decided here at MN that we would stick with just credit/debit cards for CAT payments for the moment. Sorry if this causes anyone a major hassle.

i think the issue with paying by card is that with a card you need to verify an address, with a postal order you could be anyone.

Doesn't anyone think about MNHQ?

They are running a PARENTING website, not a free for all Ebay.

I can't even imagine the hassle they have had over the "for sale" boards, especially with the scammers etc.

If it is easiest for them at the moment to only accept credit/debit cards then sorry but you either give someone a £5 and ask them to pay your CAT by card, or do a postal order.

I can understand that, they may end up with hassle with people claiming they sent a fiver in the post and mnhq never recieved it etc.

Plus the hassle of cashing cheques/postal orders.

if people don't like it then they can use Ebay.

i can't see why it is a problem.

"huns" are the people who come here and are never seen anywhere BUT the for sale boards.
they use phrases such as Hun and are often found typing in txt code.

they aren't part of MN, they are a sub group of people too tight to pay ebay fee's
