Babyproofing advice

Does anyone know of a service in London giving advice on "babyproofing" one's home? We are grandparents and want to make our house safer for our one year old grandson. In U.S. there are companies that provide this advisory service but I cannot find one in London.
Thank you!

That’s sweet but you don’t need a professional service for baby proofing. Just Google what’s needed and ask the parents for any specifics. Some children are more inclined towards self destruction than others so the parents will be best placed to tell you what they view as hazardous.

The basics would be cupboard locks, stair gates, padding sharp furniture corners (depending on if they’re at the pulling up or toddling stage), anchoring the television/drawers/any furniture that might tip (especially if they’re a climber), moving breakables/anything small enough to be swallowed to high places and making sure you don’t have any trailing wires that can be yanked.

I'd also add child safe windows

Laughing out loud that this is something you can pay for. Just Google it or use your common sense. Apart from stair gate, baby proofing is really not necessary

I think it doesn’t exist in uk, as people don’t sue each other if baby bumps head.

Just watch 1 year old, if he can’t be stopped going up stairs, add a gate there, if he goes in a cupboard you don’t want him to, add a lock.
Generally if he’s only visiting just keep and eye on him and move chemicals or knifes out of reach.

For our own son we added one gate on living room door so we could contain him safely from kitchen and to stop him escaping every 5 minutes. Only needed around 6 months.
Added drawer locks to his bedroom drawers as he would open and slam on his fingers. Again only needed around 6 months.
Everywhere else we just watched him or removed anything dangerous

Many thanks to you all for your input. Also any suggestions for where to find a gate that can extend across an extra wide space at the top of the stairs would be helpful. Otherwise I guess we will just gate the rooms near the stairs. Thank you again.
