anyone every tried dying shoes themseleves before? or should i take them to be dyed professionally?

hi, i want to be able to reuse my wedding shoes as they are so nice, they are silk and they can be sent away to be dyed, just wondered if anyone has done this themseleves with dylon?

should i have a go myslf or send them off to be done professionally
i wont be heartbroken if i bugger them up iykwim

Its ok.. I'm into dresses at the mo, I've been looking for wedding dresses all day (my old one and shoes were from first marriage in case you were thinking I'm some kind of bigamist )
