Couldn't resist clicking on this thread. I never thought I'd find the mouldy holes of ducks bums interesting.

Somebody tell us where to get unholey ducks!!!

Catbert · 07/01/2005 11:01

I dishwasher most of the bath toys (so lazy - but we have hundreds of the darn things), and the ones which are squirty, I put into a bucket of milton periodically, sucking in the milton, leaving it overnight, and then squirting it out and give them all a good scrub.

I don't get mould as such - but after a while they get slimey ... Yuk!

lilsmum · 07/01/2005 11:03

i got aload of hard "holeless" ducks and whales from a local pound shop, obviously for a pound, think it was poundshrinker (cant think of the bloody name now!!)

they look just like the ones i got for dd might have to get some more as the tesco's ones are slowly being thrown for being mouldy

joash · 07/01/2005 19:02

You don't need to chuck them. GS has dozens and we couldn't get him to aprt with any so we put the in a washing up bowl with liquid sterilising fluid (type used for baby stuff) and they're fine.

joash · 07/01/2005 19:02

aprt ? ...part!!
