Just thought I'd get the excitement going for this (starts on Wednesday). dh tells me that Les Dennis and Mark Owen (ex-Take That) are 2 of the inmates - anyone know who else?
Must admit, I have a bit of a soft spot for "little" Mark.

What interview is that?

It was years ago mears, during the Marietta Higgs thing, I think. They interviewed a man whose daughter had been taken away obviously from the point of view of of 'Oh how awful of social services' to then find that he HAD been abusing his daughter.

I fear I'm alone on this one!!!! My money's on Melinda. Is Sue Perkins letting everyone know how clever she is yet?

I was only allowed a brief glimpse of the lot. So that's who the blonde one was. Where are her breasts? She is so thin.. and why is she leaving her kids to be locked up.

I think Goldie is fanciable in a freaky way, but I haven't been right in that department for a while now.

It wasn't meant as a derisory comment, I was so shocked to see the difference in her , Infact I think she looks far more mellow and approachable now, and has a really laid back dfreindly manner, rather than that brittle image we used to see on the sofa.

Mark Owen came across as a complete pr@t! Kind of like a cocker spaniel puppy - all long hair, big eyes and eager to please.

I think Goldie & Melinda stand a fairly good chance - they both seemed pretty relaxed. Sue may well p* people off with her oh-so-smart comments (which personally, I find funny but may start annoy people if they're shut in a house for X days with her). Anne & Les, tricky in my opinion. Les may try to hard to fit in and Anne seems uncomfortable. Mark has annoyed me no end already so I'd want to vote him out as soon as possible if I was stuck in a house with him. Now, if they'd got Robbie.... (drifts off in a daze)

Mind you, I turned off once they'd all been locked in the house so I've not studied them in depth! I refuse to get sucked into this any further

Soupdragon I reckon he should have at least cut his fringe and stood up straight.Think he's kind of sweet though.I was nearly blinded by Melinda's white teeth.As for her leaving her kids it's only for ten days at the most.Not sure why Les Dennis needs to do it as he doesn't need the publicity he's already a big household name.And won't he be worried who lovely Amanda will be shagging while he's away.

Mark Own - get a hair cut.
Anne Diamond - yes, great campaign - yes, awful 80's presenter - but still going to judge her on her BB house behaviour alone for this one.

If Mark Owen appeared wash his hair it would be an improvement

Melinda Messenger is nice in real life & surprisingly not thick. I have to say, though, I wouldn't be cut off from my ds for ten days day and night just to be on a TV show. They aren't even allowed phone calls, are they?

I didn't mean to sound so sanctimonious about AD's porkiness. Just I do feel that her work has been overlooked probably because it was about babies, which aren't considered very important.

I think they are all people who wish they'd done the celebrity survivor gig - but some careers are unrevivable IMO!

As for Mark Owen, I think his crack about not being able to read was in poor taste.

I was shocked to see Mark...see can't even remember his name...Owen. No-ones seen or heard of him since his boyband breakup. I thought more or less the same of Anne Diamond. Now Les Dennis - seeing wife Amanda kissing him byebye with the 'please dont go, i'll be thinking of you' look. PLEASE... she didnt convince me! She couldnt wait to get rid of him for 10 days and who could blame her! Sue Perkins: like her, find her quite funny but more so with her side-kick. I think they both should have been asked.
Goldie - never heard of him (but feel like i'm on another planet coz everyone else has!), but he seems a really nice guy... liked his impressions. Melinda, too nice - sickly almost!
CONCLUSION: Totally shocked with this line-up - whooever was in charge of this area should be fired!!

I just watched the rest of it this morning and found it delightfully entertaining. Les looked pretty p-d off about having to build a bed, and goldie saying 'This is hilarious' as the credits rolled was a peach too as none of them were finding it remotely funny. Wonder if Amanda will feel abit jealous that Les and Melinda paired off to make a bed together? He likes her new hair, I heard him compliment her.
I think Ann is very game, and I personally really like Melinda. I would also like her house and her figure thank-you.
Sue is gay as far as I know and I agree she is better with her side-kick Mel. I think she may annoy people a tad. Mark Owen is just so weeny and that lank hair is really off-putting.
Can't wait for tonight!!

I had never heard of Goldie either but then I don't watch EastEnders. Mark Owen needs a good wash and brush up I've always felt he was gay as well. Sue I think she's really funny and it will be interesting to see her without Mel because they're a bit like Ant and Dec never see one without the other. Don't like Anne Diamond despite all her good work, I don't think she was that taken with Goldie because he didn't carry her case down the stairs. Melinda well dp came through to have a look at her, she always comes across really nice. Les Dennis can't stand him and wish it was his wife they had locked up and thrown away the key. Apparently Les Dennis is the favourite. I can't believe how thin Melinda Messenger is now - doesn't it make you sick two kids and she looks like that whereas I've only had one kid and am only a bit thinner than Anne Diamond.

Goldie is more well known for his music, he was only in eastenders on and off for a couple of weeks. Did anyone else think the video that Mark Owen made for bb was as embarrassing as I did?

Can't see attraction of Mark Owen. Horrible teeth. And he's only going to look cute for another nanosecond, before just looks scrawny.

Having Mark Owen in it is the only reason I might tune in and watch, dont bother any other time. The girlys will all vote for him.

just watched a bit on E4 (working from home today) -very boring - they were agonising over their shopping list - how many coffee filters to buy etc... This is going to send me back to the office, thank goodness for This Morning and UK Style... Couldn't believe Mark Owen though - looks like a small badly kept yorkshire terrier. Ann and Les are boring, Goldie and Melinda just full of themselves and Sue just acts superior - not as good as the last CBB
