A bit late in life, but what should I do for a living?

I need a career change. What job can I do?

After my diploma I bummed around a bit, did the home help work, then did the degree for which I majored in English Lit.

I don't mind volunteering a bit if they train you up. I'd still need to do some paid work too though.

ah so is not (qualifying) post grad diploma?

From what I 'know' of you on here Rhubarb I get the feeling that CAB might be a good fit for you - it's one of those jobs in which you can really make a difference to people's lives.

rhubarb have you given up on fundraising?
i don't know where you live but there must be some european funding of efl in your region and they might be in need of teachers. if so they will train you.
similar for charities who are getting european funding, have a good poke round the rda and esf stuff.
