Just bought this party dress on ebay - so do I let dd on the bouncy castle on it, or do I stick her in jeans?

It's this, but for a 3 yr old (and for a darn sight cheaper too!)

I don't know if this is buyer's remorse, or what, but although I love the dress and dd is going to look unutterably beautiful in it, am I being a complete fool for buying it for a party where there will be a bouncy castle/ballpit/tunnel and tent arrangement? And pizza for tea?

Should I just put her in it for a few photos blowing out her candles and let her wear something more suited to activity the rest of the time? Don't want her to be miserable...

Def get her change for activities, she will be so much more comfortable and you can relax.

I let DD go on a bouncy castle when she had a a lovely white skirt on, she manage to rip it in several places (it was a tiered kind of skirt).

I used to think, put her in something comfortable and safe. But she then never got to use those lovely dresses. So now she does wear them and if they do get dirty/torn, well it least they has been used instead of hanging in the cupbord. But I don't like too long dresses as worried she might trip over.

I agree that it does look a bit too long & flowing for bouncy castle or tunnel.

Mmm, I was kind of heading that way in my thoughts, especially as my sister bought a very fancy designer party dress (I was taken aside and hissed at not to tell her DH how much it had cost) for her dd's 2nd birthday party and then she nearly had apoplexy when the birthday girl wiped her greasy fingers all down the front - whilst dd's dress didn't cost me much, so I don't really care if it's trashed, I do want her to be free to do stuff rather than restricted by t'posh frock.

Thinking aloud now - it's just that for her other birthday parties (all 2 of them!) she's been in comfy, very casual (ie not at all smart or 'nice') gear so that she can run around as she pleases, and I kind of want her to look special... but I know she doesn't particularly care, so I daresay I'll save it for the cake photo op!
