Bike trailers - do your kids like them, how long will they stay in them?

Bit of a naff sounding question, but I'm considering buying a bike trailer to transport DD 3.7yrs and DS 10mths so I can get more training in for a 600km charity bike ride in August, yikes.

If you have a trailer + kid(s) of similar ages, are they happy to sit in it for a couple of hours? (obviously transfixed at the sight ahead of their super-sporty mum ) I'm hoping that DS will sleep - are the seats comfy for napping? Is 3.7yrs a bit old to be going in a trailer? I can't picture her on a trailer/tag-a-long yet and I've never felt confident enough to put either of them on our rear child seat - I'm quite good at falling off my bike hence DH has always used that... But I need to get out training more often than just weekends.

Also, any model you'd particularly recommend? Considering a Burley Bee

TIA

If it's a huge hassle putting it together don't worry about pics. A link to the make/model would do

We also use a tailgator for ds1 when dh takes them to school. It's great - ds1 is just 7 but not yet ready for cycling alone on London roads. Dh then also has dd in a seat on the back of the bike (he too is v fit bike mad bloke). Dd is getting a bit too big for the seat now and could go on the trailer bike (we have a LOT of bike kit), so we are trying to work out another way of doing it. What I would love is one of these here but they are ££.

Right if this works then this is the trailer we have. They usually end up going for a about £60 I would be happy to get that back including postage. I think it would be expensive to post email me if your interested. kath dot harry at hotmail dot co dot uk

Thanks so much notsofarnow, but the maximum load capacity on that one says 26kg, and DD+DS already weigh more than that (DS 10mths is a porker!), so I'll say no

Thanks anyway
