Not to put it too bluntly but is he dead? My sister keeps saying that he is, but Im sure he isnt. And Ive just done a quick search on the net and I cant find anything saying that he is. Anyone know?

MarsLady · 28/11/2004 20:20

How could you do that to me twig? My dreams will be full and my dh will want to know what all the sighing and drooling is all about

turquoise · 28/11/2004 20:26

Ooh he is fiiiine. But only in DD - hated him in Ghost.

Twiglett · 28/11/2004 20:27

But GDG .. Nobody puts baby in a corner

(how could you resist something so well-oiled .. and he dances too )

Well, I've had the time of my life

mishmish · 28/11/2004 20:29

Roadhouse for me. Also like the bloke in that with even more wrinkles - Sam something? Always had a weakness for dirty men in bars...

munnzieb · 28/11/2004 20:29

I forgot the north and south series, he was v nice in that as well, he was on the biography channel a few weeks back.

zephyrcat · 28/11/2004 20:29

I only discovered Patrick Swayze through my Mum drooling over him in Dirty Dancing and it wasnt long before i was doing the same!! Loved him in Ghost too, but Dirty Dancing was the ultimate.........

Twiglett · 28/11/2004 20:30

sorry got over-excited then

munnzieb · 28/11/2004 20:31

sam elliot, he's nice. bit old thou! lol. (mums a mega patrick fan as well! - I'm sure sh'e gonna be the first person to wear out a DVD with DD!)

Hughsie · 28/11/2004 20:31

SOrry if this has been mentioned but Patrick is currently starring in the Orange phone network ad - looking very dodgy due to surgery I suspect. I saw it at the cinema before Bridget Jones

Twiglett · 28/11/2004 20:32

oo oo yes .. now I remember I fancied Sam more too .. was gutted when he ended up stapled to a bar

mishmish · 28/11/2004 20:36

Twiglett. DP may end up stapled to something tonight as he has forgotten to get the wine in

WideWebWitch · 28/11/2004 20:39

munnzieb · 28/11/2004 20:40

has he lost weight or also had his cheaks done etc... or is that what happens when u have a face lift?

mishmish · 28/11/2004 20:42

oh Lordy, where have the fulsome lips gone?

munnzieb · 28/11/2004 22:25

didn't PS have a horse riding accident or something in 2002, although he's looking a bit old, after all the drug abuse/ alchol he's probably not too bad for an 'older' chap.

princesspeahead · 28/11/2004 22:35

Roadhouse, what a fab movie! Best line ever in it....said in a very southern drawl.... "that girl has got entirely too many brains to have an ass that good"

with you all the way, twiglett

Jessica72 · 28/11/2004 22:58

LMAO at this thread! I adored PS right back to PRE Dirty Dancing! Anyone remember the origial North & South? (not to be confused with the recent revival which I refused to even glance at!)

Oooooh Orry Main!!!!! sigh

I remember catching the train to a town some distance away.. (I was 14) to buy the Dirty Dancing LP (on vinyl lol!) the day it came out!

Sad!

I saw him when I went to see Bridget Jones last week as well (on the Orange ad you understand.. not actually at the cinema! . He DID a look bit wrinkly and ancient.. and if he has indeed had the surgery, not sure it's really had the desired effect... .. but I wouldn't kick him out of bed I have to say.. facelift or not!!

MarsLady · 28/11/2004 23:02

The North and South on bbc1 is completely different. It's based on a book by Elizabeth Gaskell (I think). Def not a remake of the John Jakes book/tv series

Jessica72 · 28/11/2004 23:03

Well that's a relief Marslady... but I wasn't even going to go there just in case!

I do remember it though. How I loved that. I do hope one of the cable channels repeats it though
