For the last couple of months we have been having problems with ds with sleeping waking multiple times very upset etc, we have started cranio oesteopathy for this. To complicate matters he had also been constipated recently which the Gp gave him lactulose and gaviscon for as he felt it was probably tummy ache that was keeping him awake. However about two days after he saw the GP he got a bug and had D&V, so that solved the constipation problem! Oesteopath is now very happy with him feels as though she has released the tension. So we put the night discomfort down to teething, slept very well Thursday and Friday after giving him brufen at his last bottle. However over the last three days he has been making a dreadful fuss about his bottle 1/2oz and then crying etc but he does really want it and last night he woke again very upset and seemed to be colicky. This morning really wanr=ts his bottle but can't seem to take it. Any ideas anyone I'm at a bit of a loss as I seem to be going round in circles.he has pooed this morning and has eaten like a horse, took milk on his cereal no problem.

hi clairabelle, was sleeping so only just saw your post. Have you tried making the holes in the teat bigger or changing to fast flowing teat?
Do you think baby could be going thru a growth spurt? Could he be hungry? have you tried giving him something to eat when he fusses at the bottle? do you still wind him? as he takes milk in cereal ok, it doesn't seem as tho he's allergic..... could he be cold at night or want comfort?

How many bottles is he having ? dd dropped a late evening bottle in favour of one at teatime before a year old. Just wonder if you gave it to him earlier whether his evening activity might work out any wind or discomfort before he goes to bed.

Could you switch from a teat to a free flowing cup or spout for milk ? If he is teething then some Dentinox or similar rubbed on before he has his milk may help him to concentrate more on it rather than chewing or fussing, thereby taking more air in.

Thanks for your replies. He is generally having 2-3 bottles a day, took them very well prior to the last 3 dadys. He is on fast flow teats already, I think it probably is his teeth and the teat is irritating his gums or something, will see how he goes the next couple of days anyway. Thanks again.
