How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

I feel like such a failure because, having got up at 7, DS (10 months) and I are rarely washed, dressed, made up (me not him ) etc until his lunchtime (11.30/12). Where does the time go??? I must admit I'm not that focused - if we have to get out in the morning we can, but if we're staying in I do check the PC briefly, etc. Still - half the day just getting ready for the day - doesn't make sense does it?!

I must admit I am not an organised or a morning person. I am one of the only musm I know That loves school holidays where we can take life at our own pace

As long as you are happy, enjoy it . Personally, I am one of those people who cannot bear to be in pyjamas a moment longer than necessary in the mornings and I never come downstairs unless I am dressed (not nec shower though and rarely make up so not that virtuous!) I am usually out walking the dog at 7 and love the peace and quiet. However, come 9 in the evening, all I want is to be in my jammies and curled up in bed or on the sofa!

Got the week day thing down to precision timing. Me up at 7pm, get the porridge on, and set the table for children's b'fast while scoffing bowl of cereal and emptying dishwasher. 7.15am usually joined by ds1+2, 4 and 2.8mo. Drink tea while keeping an eye on ds2, ds1 is pretty independent. They finish eating at around 7.40am and head off for the bathroom for teeth cleaning and face wiping while I go and throw some clothes on. Get kiddies dressed and booted ready for school run, wash own face, moisturise and slap on in about 2mins and into the car by 8.05am. ds1 at school gates by 8.15am. Queue for 15mins to get out of school again and off to nursery for ds2 (3ams a week) home by 8.50am. Kettle on, feet up and make the most of my last week with only 2children. Babe is coming on Friday by CS!
sat/sun routine a very different story. Made the children promise last night not to wake mummy up until she called them so eeked out my doze time til 8am...hurrah! They still insist on their porridge, just finished, bit of tv, me on here, Ocado shopping just delivered and put away by ds2!!(slight exageration as he cant reach the cupboards but everything is on the floor under the appropriate cupboard or fridge!!) No-one is dressed, might go up for a bath in a minute.. all 3 of us together. Put some washing on, strip the bed... fancy clean sheets to come home to after CS, carry on with a bit of room painting and await the arrival home of errant dh with massive hangover as out on bender last night-old school reunion. Then I shall hand over complete child responsibility to him (only fair after 4days away) and go shopping for clothes I might be able to fit into by Xmas. Thats assuming I can find a parking space in town.
