No advice then, anything will do I havent a clue. The furthest we have been is on the train to chester from london. I'll just take a couple of dummies and her blanky and some disposable nappies and some pre-made sma. All under control see

i take it most of the flight will be overnight? if so, won't she sleep during it? i thought this was a good age to travel longdistance with them, as long as youcan go overnight/get a travelcot etc. mind you we were never brave enough to roadtest this theory...
the other thing i hear is good it to get them feeding during takeoff and landing, so their ears don't get blocked

wish i was migrating for winter

Did a long flight with a four month old in June. It was good. They give you a carrycot thing for them to sleep in.

I must admit I was a bit twitchy and grabbed her everytime she squeaked as I didn't want to disturb other passengers. Anyway she slept alot and was fine. They have a fold down changing table in the loos.

I did b'feed during landing as that is supposed to help them clear their ears. I'm sure giving a bottle would do exactly the same.

Did have a funny five minutes on the way home though, she had been sleeping and woke up in what I can only describe as a 'screaming panic', very distressed and VERY loud. I had never heard her scream or cry like that and I found it very upsetting. Ran into the loo with her as it was so loud and in the middle of the night. She calmed down after a few minutes and then fell back to sleep.

No idea what caused it as unlikely to be ear pressure as it was mid flight. But something to be aware of I guess. She has never woken up like that crying before or since so it must have been something to do with the flight.

Just something to be aware of.........
