New mum alert!! Silly question.....

Quite simple, how often do you give your baby a bath? Is it good to start a routine? I'd love to know what you all do!

I started off bathing dd every 2-3 days, with top and tailing on the other days. I was told that they only needed a bath a couple of times a week.

As she got older it went to every other day and now (18m) its daily as it's easier to stick her in the bath than try to give her a good flannel wash - she loves the bath and trys to run off from a wash.

She has her baths in the morning, when I am not feeling tired and can enjoy taking our time and having a good play. A bedtime bath has never been part of her routine and I have never had a problem with her sleeping or going to sleep. I only give her a bath in the evening if she has got very dirty or has been in the sea.

Every 2-3 days, with sponge down on other days. DS is 4 months and tolerates rather than loves the bath (I'm hoping that will change soon).

I bath him in the morning too. It's easier for me and it means he does get a bath as half the time he's conked out before what would be evening bath time. No probs getting him to sleep generally in the evening.
