I only get to games when I can beg my sister in laws season ticket off her - spend a lot of the time hoping she's not going - still prefer Maine Road tho. Getting pushed all over the Kippax and my dad telling people not to swear when I was there - can you imagine doing that nowadays?

MightySquonk · 18/01/2008 13:21

oh I remember my dad having a right go at someone for swearing! And he actually said "this is the north stand, not the kippax, if you want to swear you can go on the terraces and do it"

crikey! snobbishness over which stand you were in!

Come on you blues!!! Still one all. Please god let Richards score - off, off, off, off!!!

shabster · 20/01/2008 23:45

Been to my friends for a few toots of apple juice (sounds better than cheap cider) - honestly I do NOT need to go on the Jeremy Kyle show. My friend hates football but is more than a little interested in Mr. Richards. Much better game than the FA cup shambles. Bowyer needs to be given a swift clip round the back of his head - wish Dunne would have done it. Squonk - we need to hold our heads high and enjoy being back in 5th place.xxxx

threelittlebellies · 20/01/2008 23:50

I'm a fellow long sufferer!

shabster · 22/01/2008 23:45

SQUONK - SPEAK TO ME - Blue moon, you saw me STANDING ALONE - without a dream in my heart...........

fryalot · 23/01/2008 08:21

Sorry, Shab, I'm here today

welcome, threelittlebellies

fryalot · 23/01/2008 08:21

...without a love of my own

Blue moon, you knew just what I was there for....

braveandcrazy · 23/01/2008 21:39

hello - can I join in please? Life long blue who unfortunately lives a long way away from the bright lights of M/C now. .

thritbies · 23/01/2008 23:27

Pan · 24/01/2008 00:09

Have reported this thread. It has noooo place in a civilised society.

fryalot · 24/01/2008 10:12

aaah, pan! so that's what funny looks like

brave&crazy - I live over in the wilds of Yorkshire. Not only too far to pop to a city home game, but there aren't any premiership clubs over here for me to grab the occasional away game! I used to go to Elland Road to watch them, but then Leeds got relegated and that put paid to that idea!

shabster · 24/01/2008 15:12

I urge you ladies to ogle (sorry google) Micah Richards. Then go to images and the first photo of him he only has his shorts on!! It is quite magnificent. Welcome braveandcrazy - the more the merrier. Right enough of this richards talk think we should discuss the offside rule.........trying not to let my mind wander xxxx

Pan · 24/01/2008 19:24

Nah, Squonk.....watching City play..now that is what funny looks like.

braveandcrazy · 24/01/2008 21:01

Thank you for your welcomes
We have got Sky Sports free for a month - (wouldn't pay for it) and got to watch City last Sunday and they are on again this Sunday! Added onto the FA cup game that was on BBC I'm doing very well at the moment! Particularly since dh is a West Ham fan (bless him)...

fryalot · 25/01/2008 08:12

nah, Pan, watching Man City is what stressful looks like

I have a very understanding dp who is more than happy to mind the kids when city are on sky so I can go to the pub and watch them there.

He even picks me up afterwards so I can get as drunk as I like Although I tend to save it for games I can't miss (derbies mainly)

fryalot · 28/01/2008 09:38

didn't want to watch an FA cup final anyway

braveandcrazy · 28/01/2008 15:28

Me neither

Best to concentrate on getting into Europe...

fryalot · 28/01/2008 15:29

hmm.

Good idea.

Perhaps we should leave the balloons at home though?

shabster · 28/01/2008 22:09

I've lost my black arm band - purchased a few seasons ago - .

My DS (10 yrs) was begging me to let him support someone else - the said the uuuunited word (cant say it without stuttering) and I said I would rather him come home with high heels and a dress on. He didnt answer but his face was like this

shabster · 28/01/2008 22:10

Where was Micah yesterday? I unlocked the handcuffs and let him go home on Saturday night!!

SvenGoranEriksson · 10/02/2008 14:19

I promised you I'd sort things out

braveandcrazy · 10/02/2008 19:48

Thanks Sven you did a good job today - keep up the good work!

LOL Shabster - is it 'the others' your ds wants to support or someone slightly less offensive like Chelsea?

My free month of Sky sports is ending this week but what a way to go seeing today's match!

All together now... BLUUUUUE MOOOOOOOON....

fryalot · 11/02/2008 07:45

good job done by the boys, hey?

dp dropped me off at the pub and picked me up again after the rugby, so I had a bloody good day

YOU SAW ME STANDING ALOOOOOONE...
