Has anyone seen this week's OK mag? There's a 10,000 page (or seems it) feature on VB out shopping with her mum & sister. One shot shows her happily carrying Romeo (tho not in a sling - must be v uncomfortable for all that time!) chatting to her sis, while their mother, grim-faced, copes with sis's daughter pulling one arm & Brooklyn the other! Bet she laughs wryly when VB boasts about not having a nanny!!

i saw it...i makes me very sick to see her in tight jeans only a few weeks after romeos birth,im still struggling with my weight 2 years after my dd was born.she doesnt sem to have any problem with caeserian tummy like me
me and my mate said it must have killed her arms to carry him all that time whats wrong with a pushchair?
perhaps im being a bit cynical but they wouldnt have been able to get such good shots of romeo then would they?

Zoe · 25/10/2002 18:08

I don't knoe, I thought that she was holding him to stop people peering in a pram at him. In heat thisw week, the said that she hasn't lost the weight like she did with Brooklyn, she's dressing cleverly, which is mucch more possible when your budget runs to D and G and not M and S.

I love Vicky Beckham, though, so maybe I'm just wanting to see the good side...

ellasmum · 25/10/2002 19:07

In the same magazines - Heat and OK (I am very sad and read them all) - did you see the pictures of Liz Hurley?

Call me cynical but she did not look very at ease carrying the baby and it seemed to me that maybe a nanny did most of the day to day work whilst she showed him off for the cameras. Also, she said she 'loves ironing his babygros' - anyone who actually looks after a baby would know there really isn't time or a point to doing that.

Or am I the only one with a creased baby??

ellasmum · 25/10/2002 19:10

By the way, this isn't a dig at people with nannies. More a dig at celebs who make out they are Number One Mum.

Agree about Liz Hurley: saw a pic of her striding throughte departure lounge at Heathrow (on her way to NY fashion week) and she was holding Damien like a sack of potatoes. Methinks maybe she doesn't do it much (meow)!

SoupDragon · 25/10/2002 19:39

I read somewhere about the popularity of having a tummy tuck at the same time as your elective c-section...

Janus · 25/10/2002 19:42

Saw a photo of Liz Hurley leaving her house with child in tow, seems to me the name Damian was actually a good choice, have you ever seen such an ugly sod!!!!!!!!!!! Looks just like his Dad. I hate Liz Hurley!

Mo2 · 25/10/2002 19:45

Ironing baby clothes - Naargh!???? If you take them straight out of the tumble drier when warm and pull them flat/ fold - would never know they hadn't been.....(ditto ds1/dh t-shirts etc)

prufrock · 25/10/2002 20:04

Liz Hurley wouldn't know an iron if one leapt up and burnt her on the a*

Clarinet60 · 25/10/2002 21:09

Wish I'd known about the tummy tuck possibilities - mine looks like I'm wearing a bum-bag backwards.

janh · 25/10/2002 21:14

Who ever would iron a babygro anyway?????

My weight dropped off this time, after second baby. Was back in pre-preggers clothes at 10 days. Running around after 2 of them helps. With first baby was still lumpy afyer 3 months. Baby now 1 month, haven't started to exercise yet.

Why is everyone feeling inferior to LH? All she does is smoke and inject herself with botox. She's a joke.

The rest of you are good mothers, forget her.

Clarinet60 · 28/10/2002 20:02

My weight has dropped off too, all except for the pouch. Mind you, I suppose that has shrunk too, really, which only seems to make it look more ridiculous. I haven't started excercising again yet, but plan to soon. I only hope it doesn't affect my milk supply (DS2 is 5 months).

lou33 · 28/10/2002 23:31

What's an iron?

aloha · 29/10/2002 08:43

You remember, it's that thing you spent a week in Greece convinced you left on, slowly burning your house down...

VJR · 29/10/2002 09:28

Glad to see we are all as sad as each other and enjoy the delights of heat and Ok!

Have to agree that Liz H's baby is an absolute monster, is massive and looks just like his Dad - poor boy!

As for ironing babygows what sad person actually needs to do that especially when the baby is bound to throw up on it straight away anyway!

VB and LH are incredibly thin but LH doesn't exactly look like the happiest new mum does she? I think I would rather sit around in my pjs and eat chocolate with my new baby rather that get super thin just to have to face the cameras. eat chocolate...now thats an idea.....

Bozza · 29/10/2002 09:39

I agree with emmabee - Victoria Beckham does have a nanny - her mother. Which is all very well for her - but unfortunately my mother works and so is not available for nanny duties so I have to pay somebody (a nursery) for childcare. I resent VB suggesting she is a better mother for not having a nanny just because that option is open to her.

aloha · 29/10/2002 12:00

Oh, now I feel v sorry for Damian Hurley. Poor little mite, it's not his fault his parents are awful.

janh · 29/10/2002 13:12

He is a very very unattractive baby, poor lamb. I can't understand how LH could have gone near Steve Bing unless he put a paper bag over his head first, millions or no millions.

lou33 · 29/10/2002 13:24

Nope....still not ringing a bell aloha, can you give me a bigger clue?!

bundle · 29/10/2002 13:27

lou33, it's that thing little Mo hit Trevor with on Eastenders

aloha · 29/10/2002 14:10

So that was just me in greece then?

lou33 · 29/10/2002 15:28

Oh i thought they were used as door stops !
