we had one similar to that 2nd link for DS1 and 2 - we solved the goolie crusher problem by careful placement of a large sponge/flannel in the appropriate place providing "padding" for them

oh and I don't think ANY of you would want to bath your DC in my kitchen sink - it's horrible - one of those ghastly plastic ones that had seen better days before we bought the house , and most of you wouldn't fit your DC in my bathroom sink.

Tutter · 04/01/2008 20:13

oh yes bone idle

i was on there already surely, with my army of "life assistants"

but i am also a regular customer of a physio for back problems, so cannot do the hold-baby-over-bath thing. i hope you feel awful now

Tutter · 04/01/2008 20:15

oh how exciting cod

link pls?

she hates me as i called her an inverted snob once

she thinks i'm a middle class southerner

when in fact i'm rough as a badgers arse and from barnsley

Just have a shallow bath and let lo lie on their stomach splashing around. If you don't like that idea, maybe put the baby bath in the bath so your lo can sit upright by holding on but no mess as the bath contains all the splashing they're bound to do and it's easy to empty.

MegaLegs · 04/01/2008 20:17

We used to put DS4 in the GC and then surround him with sponges, flannels and anything else that was handy. Once he was nicely wedged we could just about trickle a bit of baby wash over him and a splash of water.

oh what a shame cod - perhaps that's because I'm not shallow enough to "hide" topics - as there's usual interesting things on most of the then........

ib · 04/01/2008 20:23

I used this one until ds could sit up alone. Worked great.

cod - if you're stil there - what's your blog address?

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 04/01/2008 20:35

Probably been suggested already but get in with him or use the kitchen sink. Mine loved the kitchen sink - as did my dodgy back!

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 04/01/2008 20:36

Cod's blog hat. How sad am I lol?

hatwoman · 04/01/2008 20:40

cheers - wanted to show it to dh. I'm sad too...

ElevenRustyPipersPiping · 04/01/2008 20:41

Does he love the bath so much he'd really miss it? - because I used to wash DS sitting on a towel on my lap from about 7 months (in my case it was because he suddenly took against the bath & had the screaming heebie-jeebies every time I tried to put him in)

ElevenRustyPipersPiping · 04/01/2008 20:44

Or put a towel-lined plastic washing basket in the bath & put him in that.
