Thinking about booking a week in Newquay for myself and DD in the Summer. (having just discovered cheap flights!)

I've had a bit of a look around and it seems as if there is quite a bit to do and it looks child friendly (which is always a good thing)

So was just wondering about other's experiences, before I go ahead, and also if anyone has any recommendations for accommodation!

TIA

Just a wee warning - Scottish hols or not - Cornwall and devon roads fill up with tractors, caravans and old codgers driving at 30 from May onwards

Agree dont stay in Newquay itself, but the zoo and aquarium are fun for kids, beaches are great and the shopping is good if you like surfwear.

Lots of lovely beaches on North coast, but Eden project also worth a visit.

Before school age kicked in, we used to go last week in June and many places were pretty empthy. Plus, poor, weary locals hadn't kicked into ''We Hate All Grockles'' mode so service was friendly and weather was often much better than August!
