I've tried Oxfam, Save the Children, Christian Aid, Amnesty, Macmillan, Cancer Research, Medical Aid for Palestinians, and, to put it bluntly - they're all a bit crap to be honest. the only design I really like is the one I sent last year! Any suggestions? Only really want international aid/development or cancer, or children. Help.

Christmascards.org might help? (Has a lot of choices.)

Did you mention unicef?

80sMum · 14/11/2004 22:44

And also there's charitycards.co.uk

Thanks Jan - found some nice ones on the Unicef site. Then I ummed and ah-ed a bit about getting any at all - ie should I just give them the cash. In the end I decided to cut my list in half - send to the stalwarts and the oldies and tell everyone else I was donating some money. Quite a few of my friends did this last year and it makes a lot of sense really.

It does make a lot of sense.

I always mean to order by post from one of the catalogues, don't get around to it and end up getting the least offensive from the local Oxfam/Shelter shop and posting the lot, which is nice for PO profits...but I never see most of the people I post to (to tell them I'm donating to charidee) and touching base at Christmas is the only way we keep in touch, and although it might seem pointless I like to do it.

Sigh....

I'll have to do a Christmas email - I don't see many of them either!

The Unicef ones are not only nice designs and a good cause, but they are nice and sturdy, hatter. Much better quality of (sustainable forest) card than elsewhere in the charity world.

I know how you feel. Oxfam is my charity of choice and the ones sold locally are awful. Unicef often have stylish ones. Those links are great, thanks.

julienetmum · 24/09/2006 22:32

Phoenix Trading do some lovely ones for Cancer Research but although you can view them online at Phoenix website you can only buy them online if you find a rep who has a website.

I am a rep but I don't have a website I'm afraid.
