1 "Spice in 'em"
2 "Dolls in thongs"
3 "Cross held jurist"
4 "To wed tru'st love"
5 "A lethally new jig"
6 "He's fat, smart & rich"
7 "Cold now? Engage skis!"
8 "Means abhorrent music"
9 "The giant consumerism father"
10 "Northern seer, do help dude ride!"

There are all Christmas themed. I don't actually have the answers, the Pre-School dad who put them together for me hasn't seen fit to furnish me with these (ha bloody ha, not!). I hate anagrams but some people like them apparently

And the quiz is tonight (and the chap who gave me the anagrams is still giving nothing away!)

Didn't realise it was today! Hope it went well. Did any fights break out within teams? I've been to a few of these things and they usually end up with DH and my mother fuming at each other.

handlemecarefully · 06/12/2007 23:39

Just got back. Thanks for asking...I think it went well (didn't notice any argy bargy)

London's lights!

The winners scored (I can't remember!!) ...I think they averaged 8 out of 10 on most rounds.

I am honestly very grateful for the input I got on mumsnet

at londons lights (eh? i'm from up north y'see)

at 8 out of 10 (pssstt-were they cheating or are there genuinely multi-talented people?)

and i think you should put the occasional, and moderately difficult "round" on here as you are so good at it We should get a new 'QUIZ' heading in the blue thingys.
do it
do it

gigglewitchyouamerrychristmas · 07/12/2007 00:01

PS now it's all over you are entitled to a large glass of your fave tipple

handlemecarefully · 07/12/2007 00:03

Go on then, I think I need a rest though (a bit like an old horse put out to pasture) ....but in the New Year I'll post a few quiz questions. I enjoyed it too (learnt something!)

Incidentally do you know which politician banned Christmas in England a few hundred years ago?

OP posts:
handlemecarefully · 07/12/2007 00:07

And because I am off to bed now, the answer is in this link
www.timetravel-britain.com/05/Dec/ban.shtml - don't open it until you've had a go

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 07/12/2007 14:39

I know the answer. He banned all the fun stuff. Little wonder we had a restoration.
