Am I alone in thinking that if you open a thread asking advice/opinions that you should actually acknowledge them? Of course I don't mean each individual one but a return at the end of a thread or follow up after a day or so would be polite. Most do but quite often no acknowlegement,does any one else find this frustrating? Name change in case I'm being v. over sensitive

Never had such a response - quite relieved my thoughts aren't alien to you all. I wasn't so worried about someone saying thank you,just that after following some interesting threads (quite often not posting)I'm actually really interested in the outcome, good to know how or if the advice helped. Thanks

Soupy you can go back and check what you have posted on, when you do a search, in the search current messages, int he section "where author nickname matches" type in your own name and it will detail all the threads you have posted on, you can check yours and anoyone elses

Make efforts but I do have a life in the real world so don't always stay till a thread is finished.
Found an old thread t'other day which I'd posted on - someone else had posted something for my attention but it was in August - no point in replying now!
I think we have to allow people to bugger off and not reply. It's a free world. No?
