Argh... How do I get Vaseline off my fake shearling coat?

Grrr. I need it -it's the warmest coat I have and it's freezing here. Now it has dark slimy patches on it. Why doesn't Vaseline come in a child-proof container?

Please help.

There's nothing in the archives and I've googled but found about 26 million different suggestions and don't know which one to try.

DH said toothpaste takes out everything, and if that doesn't work try bleach, and then started laughing hysterically. I kicked him for you. I didn't know what a fake shearling coat was, so I googled it and realized I own one.

Your weather sounds miserable. I've been complaining of cold because it was snowing earlier today, but after seeing the Midwest, I'll be quiet now.

lol Dooneygirl! What would you call it then?

Yes, do be quiet about the weather - the snow is ok but then it rained. and that froze. And I had to walk home from work. And I didn't wear my snowboots. It was a bit of an adventure but I eventually made it home in one piece!

Will try toothpaste. Thanks for kicking you DH about the bleach.

Thanks for the help!

Have you tried WD40? It works on everything usually

TwinklyfLightAttendant · 02/12/2007 05:50

or hairspray if you are girly household

definitely not swarfega. It smells dreadful.

Will try the WD40. No Hairspray in this house, I'm afraid!

Thanks
