I'm doing my very first craft fayre on Saturday & have no clue what to charge. I know I'm not going to make anything back for my time so can't work out prices that way or I'd be charging a tenner for a hair slide lol.

Please can you look at my blog & tell me what (if anything) you'd be likely to pay? You'll have to scroll down a bit too as there's a doll & some belts & stuff on a previous post.

TIA,
GW

Hi,

You've got some lovely stuff. I can't give you any direct advice on pricing sorry! But could you make them up when you get there? Ask some of the regular traders? They would be able to give you an idea based on the customer group expected. I think that a lot of crafters, round this way anyway, change their prices with location!!!

Good luck!

They are lovely things; I'm not very good at pricing, but...

About £1 for a hair slide, bit more for a barrette.

£2 for a hairband?

£2 for a Christmas dec?

Or perhaps you could price them a bit higher, and then have at x for £5 to try and sell larger quantities?

Thanks for your replies folks

I like the idea of asking the other traders first - I think I'll have a mosy around while everyone's setting up.

The other traders may say too high a price so they can undercut you!
