Just been to my favourite haunt Primark and bought quite e lot of stuff. To cut a long story short it was really busy in there and I had to queue for ages.
You give the cashier your basket and she takes everything out, rings it up on the till, Then they pack it all in the bag for you.
Got home and half of the stuff I have bought and paid for is missing. I didn't check my bag as the woman just handed it to me and I assumed it would all be there.
Phoned them up and they were really Sh*ty saying that I had to go back with my stuff and receipt but it was unlikely they would find my stuff as someone had probably picked it up.
I am so p'd off I really am. If they don't replace the stuff I am going to go mad, I really am. What else can I do?

I'm going to be in w london tomorrow, and I see there is one in hammersmith. Don't think I will have time to go though, plus dh would ground me until we fly off on hol.

I didn't know there was one in hammersmith Lou. I know they have them in Tooting, Wandsworth, Bromley and Brighton though - I've been to them all

oooh a thread on Primark, my favourite clothes shop (well only one we can afford atm!) am going to stay in London for the weekend with my best friend in Balham, so could well take in the Tooting one. how does the wandsworth one compare to the tooting one - not that I am a Primark anorak or anything Manchester has a fabby huge one, Birkenhead has a small one and Liverpool City centre doesn't havbe one !

lou33 · 04/11/2004 22:31

just checked their website.

got to shout at the girls as they are refusing to sleep, then do kitchen duties. See you tomorrow

misdee · 04/11/2004 22:32

they have a webiste? where??

lou33 · 04/11/2004 23:41

I don't think it shows clothes, just directs you to their store locator. It's here

Managed to gett to the hammersmith primark today.

Bought some nice knicks for £2 each, although most of the other styles seemed to sell for a pound! Belt for a pound, lovely mini brown cord handbag for £2,pair of knitted slippers for £3, and 3 pe bags for a pound each. Severely tempted by denim mini with great belt for a tenner as well.

Just as well I don't have one locally.

blossomhill · 05/11/2004 19:50

I saw those slippers lou. I ended up buying the chinese satin ones. I also got a lovely wicker type belt for £3 (normally about £15 in Topshop). I was also tempted by the denim mini but need to lose a stone first

I went in there a few weeks ago to get some loose fitting (please god) post pregnancy clothes for after baby. Came out with two trackie bottoms (haven't worn a pair of those since I was a school ) and three tops for £21! I wouldn't normally bat an eyelid at spending that on one top!

I saw the chinese slippers, but I like a pair of comfy old lady type to slob about in. I have fluffy mules for feeling fancy
