Bought some today as i remembered watching 'you are what you eat' and these and sunflower seeds were recommended. But what was it about them? what do they do? can't remember now.

If you do have pumpkin seeds around this is a good recipe - we wash and pat them dry, spread over a baking sheet with a small drizzle of oil, plenty sea salt, paprika and chilli flakes and roast until light brown and crispy on a medium heat. Doesn?t take long so keep an eye on them. You can pan fry them but I find they are more likely to burn or cook unevenly in a pan. We also raid our spices supply and bung in other seasoning such as ginger, cinnamon and garam masala etc. etc. if the mood takes us. Always have loads of seeds in the house as we consume a lot of spicy pumkin soup at this time of year - post halloween the pumpkins are cheap!
