I would like to buy me son a proper crockery set so that he get used to this as he is nearly five and my H thinks he should be using china now.

I had an idea to make it a fun thing to do I would buy him some crockery with his name on and if poss a picture especially for him. I like my son not to have a problem when I change his crockery and then we can all be happy. Do any of you know of a good place where I can purchase personalised crockery. Will leave this message now and will not be able to check again until tonight. thanks

I tried a Google search for "paint your own pottery" and came up with tons of places. It depends where you live. Either try that search, or take a look at this which looks like a good chain. My daughter loves these types of places!

also, just saw a cute teddies and trains set on the Letterbox site if you don't feel like making your own ...

My kids made their own at home. We bought some ceramic paint from an art shop in just four colours (should be available online if no art shop close to you) and just bought some very cheap (99p each) plates, bowls and mugs from Wilkinsons - although plain white crockery is available in most shops which sell crockery. They really enjoyed doing their own and are very proud of their work and they use them daily. You can make them dishwasher proof by allowing them to dry then 'baking' them in the oven at 150degrees c for 30 mins.
