flowerybeanbag · 31/10/2007 11:32

I thought it was mal a la tete

Brangelina · 31/10/2007 11:33

mal à la tete

TracyK · 31/10/2007 11:34

I had one last night -working till 10.30pm and I was just explaining to my boss. But he says it's mal de tete - but I'm sure at school it was mal a la tete.

Yes, for "a pain in my head", but I thought a headache is a mal de tete

Marina · 31/10/2007 11:36

I'm pretty sure I'm right Tracy...because French paracetamol lists maux de tete (headaches) as one of the conditions it's suitable for

slim22 · 31/10/2007 11:36

It's either "J'ai mal a la tete" or "j'ai un mal de tete", he's just being french silly.

Brangelina · 31/10/2007 11:37

No, it's mal à la tete, just like sore throat is mal à la gorge. I know this because it's the other way round in Italian (and possibily Spanish, which is maybe where you're getting it from?)

milward · 31/10/2007 11:37

mal a la tete

flowerybeanbag · 31/10/2007 11:37

I checked dictionnaire , I am wrong 'headache' is mal de tete, 'I've got a headache' is 'J'ai mal a la tete'

flowerybeanbag · 31/10/2007 11:37

Sad as in pathetic obviously!

Marina · 31/10/2007 11:38

TracyK · 31/10/2007 11:41
