We are still happily married, but the kids and I live in the USA and DH is a full time student in London. He has been renting a flat since we sold our house and moved back to the USA, but now would like to move to a home. He is 46, great with children (particularly crying babies) and very handy (was a builder before becoming a student). He can cook and clean and if you ask him nicely would probably be happy to look after the kids if you want a night out. He spends all his time studying or sleeping and is in the USA with us for all the holidays. He won?t be having overnight visitors or mates over and apart from his god awful snoring, is quiet at night.

His only requirements are wireless broadband, a non-smoking, non-partying household, parking (on-street is fine) for his car and preferably his own bathroom.

He is just completing his HND in business at West London College and in February will hopefully be entering the 3rd year of a Business Honors program at Middlesex University in Hendon.

I don't actually know your real life name (I'm the only idiot who thought I was supposed to use my real name for my username), so dh will be calling and looking for a fitfox. He's used to mumsnet, so didn't think it was odd.

LOL!! Your DH has been and gone, so will be talking to you about the room tonight

Hi! Yes, he thought the house (and you) were lovely, but it's a little out of our price range. We were trying to keep our max to £100 a week.

Hi , I have a flat in London NW10 and my partner and I own the flat above also its a Victorian conversion and we rent the top floor flat out , we have a room that will be available in two weeks at 100.00 per week its just down the road from Hendon really , At the moment the flat is rented to two divorced men in their 40-50' as two seperate rooms but one has just been made redundant so is relocating as his new job is up North of England, it's quiet as the fella that's staying is very quiet film producer. He could maybe take it for a while if he's interested but there is no broadband but am happy for him to have it for a while if he likes , also the other fella smokes but I think he would not be upset if we asked him to refrain in the flat as he knows we a re advertising for a new person to share with him , let me know if you are interested as its just off the North Circular so is very easy to Hendon and he could always take it for a while as we don't want it empty . He would share the bathroom and Kitchen with the other fella John.

Thanks curlysmum. Sounds great, but unless the 100 includes bills it's probably too much for us. Let me know if it does include gas and electric! Also dh quit smoking about a year ago and is stil pretty tempted by it so I'm not sure how he'd feel about sharing with a smoker...though might be ok if he did truly only smoke outside. But otherwise place sounds good. He's actually staying at a friends in NW10 at the moment. We used to own a house there (Park Royal end), so know the area well. Broadband could always be hooked up...not such a problem. What's the parking like there?
thanks.

Hi there is no parking permits our road is one of the few that does not need permits .
The gas and electric are on key meters which I think is only minimal as I know the other two were saying how they put £20.00 on the gas and it lasted over a month, there is a new combination boiler etc so is very economical. Its a plain room about 13ft by 10ft with a wardrobe , chest of drawers and single bed . My email is [email protected] if he would like to arrange to see it sometime and meet the other fella, I have a new job and cannot access my email during work so will check it later. We have it advertised at £98.00 per week which is £420 per calendar month , council tax and water included.Thanks.
