8 yr old ds talking over dh, seems to annoy dh a lot

surely I can't have the only child to do this, dh seems to think we do.

MS .. don't you think that they don't do at school because they know it is unacceptable .. which means they are capable of holding off but there is a reason they are not doing so with you and DH

I really don't know what to say .. it has to be down to you and DH to work out how to stop them

But I do firmly and fervently believe you have to stop brattish behaviour where they believe they are the centre of the universe

We just say "Wait, I haven't finished" in this household and the kids seem to have the hang of it, even at just 3 and 5.

They have taken to doing it back to us if we forget and talk over them, lol. But fairplay I suppose

The 3 of us in my house all compete to talk endlessly

Dd is only 3 but we're trying to get her to wait her turn and not interrupt... dinner table is the worst because the 3 of us have not seen each other all day and we all have stuff to say. She is too little to do it unprompted yet obviously
