Competency Based Interview -HHHEELLLLLLLLPP

Have just heard that i have one of these tomorrow at 1pm. Have had a few notes emailed thru but i know these are the 'thing' now and i have no idea how to prepare!! have not been interviewed for 15 yrs and am terrified. It's far a 'quality control analyst' role . Any info much appreciated .thanks

First CONGRATULATIONS MABS! Second, I thought it might help others to mention a recent Wall Street Journal Article called "Climbing the Ladder - Women Need to Shed Self-Doubt to Get Ahead in Workplace". It came just at the right moment for me, and good reading for anyone thinking of taking a new job. One of the Most striking quotes was from a recruiter who said "if a job requires five skills and we have four, we'll decide we aren't qualified and let it go. But a typical man who has two of the skills will take a chance and go for it." So true... most of us need to learn a bit of self-confidence! Another interesting point was that when negotiating terms of a new job, most women negotiate for thinkgs that help her do the job better, like upgraded technology or cellphone expenses, but that many men negotiate for things that help improve his life, like golf club membership or extra vacation. V. interesting and instructive.
