does ANYONE have the same problem after eating Bran Flakes?
ate them constantly whilst pregnant as couldnt eat much else and was fine, but about 4 months ago, started buying them again and they had this rather unfortunate effect!!! i was eating a big bowlful for brekkie and another one for tea/supper, so i thought it was the amount, but it wasnt!!!!
had a bowl two days ago (as we have two large boxes still in cupboard!) and i am still paying for it (and DP...pheeew!)
but i luuurve branflakes, what can i do?

Erm...can't believe I'm discussing this, but I think things get a bit 'stretched' during birth, and having had this conversation with friends, it seems that most of us are far more windy since we pushed out babies. Maybe nothing to do with the Bran Flakes!!!

EvesMama · 14/10/2004 20:27

never used to 'trump' infront of dp, but if i hold in after eating branflakes, i feel like im getting labour pains! i think he'd realise anyway unless he has no sense of smell

We call them bottom burps in our house. We are very refined.

It's a good old-fashioned FART in the coppertop household.

Common as muck, me.

Bunglie · 14/10/2004 21:09

I call them 'coughs in ones fur'
But one always says,
'I beg your pardon'...not just 'pardon'

But then there is the thought, 'where 'ere you be let the wind go free'.

WigWamBam · 14/10/2004 21:10

We call 'em farts too - but somehow the three year old hasn't picked up on this and calls farting "popping".

EvesMama · 14/10/2004 21:11

my dp proudly says as one bursts free.."get out..you dont pay any rent"....hmm..nice

coppertop · 14/10/2004 21:18

PMSL at "coughs in one's fur"

sunchowder · 14/10/2004 21:19

Will I find this in the slag dictionary?

sunchowder · 14/10/2004 21:20

lou33 · 14/10/2004 21:21

sunchowder · 14/10/2004 21:22

Thanks Lou! Keep thinking about it though....do you have to have a furry ass to do it?
