What has happened to ks?

Have been somewhat bewildered by some of the very personal and aggressive posts on recent threads, but what has happened to ks? Thought she gave JamesK a bit of a hard time but otherwise I enjoy her posts enormously. Can someone fill me in!

star, not you too! please, please, please come back!

Marina · 21/09/2002 14:58

I've been away for a week and was sorry to see that things seem to have gone a bit haywire on the boards. Just to add my pleas to Star, ks, Ionesmum, Aloha and jbr not to go - and like some others here, I'm a bit puzzled. What happened? Will asking what or who a "brian" is just start it all up again? (If so then please don't answer that question...). Mumsnet at its best is such a great support system, I really hate it when I see that it has upset people so badly they get their coats. Come back gals, please...

Marina good to see you back at least. Most of the controversy was on the most recent MMR thread - it got very heated and many people took offence. Also Jamesk planted an advertisement thread (entitled "baby clothes, sooo expensive", some users were rude and others took offence. I'm glad I satyed out of it but also miss the missing users.

and brian was a typo for brain - see "I may be a mum but I still got brians" - much more relaxing than the other threads

ionesmum · 21/09/2002 21:37

Hi, Marina! I couldn't keep away - don't think I even managed a day!

ionesmum · 21/09/2002 21:38

I do miss ks and especially aloha, she was always so kind to me, I'd love her to come back.

Hope that you had a good break, Marina.

REALLY glad to hear/see that you're back - was horrified to think that I might have been part of the reason you went.
I know what you mean though about personal / controversial threads being the addictive ones- if I thought I had to limit myself to answering questions about getting babies to sleep at night I'd be pretty pissed off!

ionesmum · 22/09/2002 21:45

Hi, ks! I'm really glad that you're back too. I feel the same actually, I'm steering clear of anything contraversial or very personal too. Instead I've been having lovely conversations about gardening and not going to bed worrying about something that I've said here.

WideWebWitch · 22/09/2002 23:40

Ks! SOOOOO pleased to see you back. Someone said, and I can't remember who, "the nicest word in a friend's vocabulary is Stay." So I'm glad you are. And don't post anything personal if you don't want to.

PamT · 23/09/2002 06:41

KS, its lovely to hear from you again, I'm glad you've not gone for good.

Marina · 23/09/2002 07:34

Well, that's great news, would have been very sad to think you were both permanently gone. Just hope Aloha feels she can come back sometime soon too.
We had a peaceful week by the sea - and yet again, Mumsnet to thank for it! A friend I met through here made it possible when I was utterly not up to organising my way out of a paper bag. She knows who she is and she is a wonderful friend. Thanks for asking.
