Sorry to be hinest but some people seem to be a little bit too sensitive on here atm. If you don't like what someone says (as long as it isn't really nasty or uncalled for), either totally ignore it or tell them (politely) where to stick it!! Coddy's said some things I don't particularly like before but if any of them had got to me I'd have just told her (politely) to p*ss off! I'd probably first have to consult lou or mummytosteven or someone else with brains on how to put it politely though!!! [grin}

but wobblyknicks - some people are depressed or lack confidence and are more sensitive to being 'got to' - not me, I hasten to add, tough as a rhino me.
It's not something people can help - it's how they are, so please don't tell them to toughen up - you're probably making them feel worse.

Sorry iota - I know what you mean - that's why I asked coddy to control herself too, and didn't mean 'toughen up' to sound like telling people what to do - if you are naturally sensitive for whatever reason then thats fair enough, you can't help that much. But some people, just occasionally seem to get offended just for the sake of it because they think the other person isn't being 'pc' enough - and they should just toughen up and get used to it.

lou - why did that last post of yours remind me of your dungeon fetish?

iota - i take your point that if you are down comments can upset you and/or you might not feel able to assert yourself but i do agree with wk's post to the extent that I think it is very sensible in general for people to make a decision at the time either to ignore comments that upset them and just forget about them, or object to comments that upset them - i.e. deal with it at the time, rather than let it fester
