...and I've just had to pick up a half dead house mouse from the kitchen floor.

I feel awful - had put down poisoned corn when they started getting in the bread drawer etc, but now facing the consequences. Poor little thing

I hate it when they destroy stuff, but now how do I put it out of its misery..?

Anyone had any success with live traps?

drown it quick, I know its horrid, but don't let it die slowly

you need a cat?!

We have had problems with mice for years. For us live-traps were useless - they always managed to work that they should be avoided! The only sure thing to do is find their point of entry and seal it up, although they're real b**rs as they can get through any hole you can stick a pencil through.

can't recommend getting a cat - mine catches them outside and brings them in!

Have just chased one out from under the pc - managed to chuck it out of the cat-flap, then locked it to stop the cat following it

We had this problem last year & tried every thing 2 get rid of them (poision, traps etc) but nothing worked.
Eventually, we contacted the council & they sent some one round.
Don't know what they did, but we have not had any trouble since.

Dh uses traps from £1 shop and puts peanut butter on them and he caught loads... don't get the problem too much aparebtly they are quite clever and they know where you have put traps so you need to move them around
