Can sitting for too long hurt the baby

Hello all,
I'm 20wks and today I was sat for two hours working from home. It was a bit of a stressful couple of hours.
Towards the end of the time I felt lots of/ constant fluttering in the left side of my bump. It was odd and I've never felt it like that before. I have flutters there at night but not constant. I'm worried I've hurt the baby.
I went for a long, slow walk and it's stopped.
Any advice?
Thank you
Laura

I spent a lot of time sitting whilst I was pregnant, didn’t ever occur to me that it would do anything to the baby.

Sounds like the baby was just fidgeting or adjusting position. Very unlikely you will have hurt the baby by sitting still (otherwise sleeping would be risky!) - the stressful mental strain is unlikely to have done anything to the baby, maybe you were tense which caused it to move. Don't worry.

I had months and months of bestest when pregnant. That baby is six and absolutely fine... Thanks to the months of me sitting on my bum.

Babies are lulled to sleep by your movements so when you stop, they wake up. But an accelerated amount of movements should be followed up much the same as a lack of movement

Thank you everyone. My mind is more at rest now. First pregnancy so scared about everything!
Thanks for taking the time to respond. Appreciate it.

Baby probably just moved into a different position. Sitting is fine, but sitting regularly for prolonged periods can increase the risk of blood clots, so mobilise as much as possible if you can.

Thanks. I was rather hunched over so I'm concerned he was squashed😬. Will make sure I live more. I'm so scared I've done something to him.
