My baby was 3 today!!! She has had a lovely day (despite being terified of the motorised scooter my parents bought her.)

I had to go to work so didn't get to spend all day with her but I've been reminiscing about the day she was born and how small she was etc.

She starts nursery next week, and tomorrow I go shopping for her uniform!

Ah, they grow up so fast. Glad to hear your dd had a lovely birthday, JulieF. I hope she enjoys nursery. Bet she looks cute in the uniform!

JulieF I know what you mean. I had appointments with schools today for reception class in Jan 06. I sat waiting for the headteacher to come out reminiscing about DS's birth, how slippery and warm he felt. I just re-lived it. Putting clothes on that little body for the first time, ahhhhhh..... Mm... Headteacher came out and asked me if I was alright cos I had a big lump in my throat and "moist" eyes!! Where has all this time gone? He's 3 1/2 now it's amazing isn't it? Happy birthday to the birthday girl. Did YOU have a nice time?

She is telling anyone who will listen that she is big girl number 3 now.

Today we went shopping for a nursery sweatshirt and she goes for her first visit tomorrow. I know she'll love it there!

You are viewing schools already for reception in 2006! Thats early isn't it or is it private and you have to get their name down now? Dd wil start reception in 2006 too.

I was just having this conversation with my mum earlier tonight, about how it just can't be nearly 4 years since ds1 was born, and he was so small none of us could get his nappy on. And its impossible that its nearly 2 since ds2 arrived.

No matter how big they get they'll always be our babies. Even when they're gangling great teenagers we'll still think of them as the warm snuggly babies that we felt so in awe of the first time we held them.
