Morning
someone on here (can't remember who) had the idea of plain christmas baubles that you personalise with a glitter glue pen, thought that was a good idea, though you'd have to practice! you could do them in the school colours.
How creative are you?

that was my idea - we made an absolute killing on that stall.

Also did a killing on letters from Santa - just take down some details of the child the letter is going to, and include some personal details (eg. "Your teacher Mrs X tells me that you have been so good and helpful in class"/"Mummy tells me that you play really nicely with X your baby brother") etc - We charged about £4 for this and the only outlay is some Xmas type paper (Decodry from Office World), some fine glitter (magic dust to put inside the letter), stamp and envelope.

jampot - the bauble idea, what kind of pen did you use?
(sorry coddy for hijacking our thread)

jampot · 30/09/2004 16:44

Coddy - you can just create a form which the parent or helper can fill out, then at your leisure (pref within the next week though) just type the letter from santa to the child, pop the stamp on and post it - and lo! the child has a letter come through the post and even better - Its from Santa!!!! contact me and I'll send you a sample

LMB - its best to have several trays with different coloured glitter in, then write the name on the bauble using a glue pen, roll the bauble in the preferred glitter and then leave to dry - I found egg cartons best!

Cod - its best to create a "standard" letter and then adjust the details (unless you are writing to several children in the same house)

Jampot, I really like this idea. Can I be cheeky and ask if you have a template around of the 'form' you used and the 'standard letter' that you could email to me?

Did you 'sell them' on a stall at a fayre with children present? If so, how did that work?
