sorry you are feeling unable to cope - can't offer any wise words but wanted you to know I have seen your message. I should think most people would be scared by a drunk coming up to them and babe as you described - I know I would.

didn't realise it was that serious - have you been to speak to your doc? Or have you a friend locally who can join you in the park? Or how about some good phrases/coping mechanisms ready 'just in case' you see that man again?

yurtgirl - which ADs are you on? SSRIs are usually fine when BFing - they have done research that shows that a tiny amount does pass in the breast milk, but not enough to have any effect on the baby. otherwise if you really don't feel that medication is for you, here is a link to some useful info on panic attacks:- Have you ever tried the no panic website -
www.nopanic.org.uk/menu.htm that has some brilliant self help info about panic attacks, and this web site has a great self-help program about panic attacks - www.panic-attacks.co.uk/index.htm.

Yurtgirl, so sorry that you're feeling this way. I don't have any experience of panic attacks so don't know how you're feeling, but huge amounts of sympathy anyway.

I woudn't take ads while I was breastfeeding, even though the doctors prescribed ones that were safe/safer for the baby, and in truth I really wish I had. I waited for over three years to get help, and I wish that I had taken the help that was offered at the time.

If you want to pop over to the Feeling Low board there are some very nice, very knowledgeable people there who have been giving stacks of support and really good advice for a couple of days. They were really helpful to me yesterday when I was feeling awful and I'm sure you'll get stacks of support and help there too.

Awwww sorry to hear about this Yurtgirl I've suffered from PAs and they're awful. I wouldn't wish them on anyone (well perhaps one person at the moment but I won't go there...)
The no panic website mentioned is good. At least you know they are PAs - I didn't for a while and thought I was dying. Unless you have them you don't realise how severe they are.
Hope you're feeling a lot better soon, see you later xx
