Right then ....if you have a business idea ...how do you do anything about it?

Me and a friend have an idea. Weve only laughed about it over drinks but it seems to be becoming more and more talked about between us and our dh's.

So, I want to know:

How do you know if its a good idea
How can you talk to anyone about it without them stealing it
How do you find out if someones done it before
How do you find out if it would work

Male 'Lapdancing' Clubs

obviously not aimed at the visual aspect that men go for, but I just thought that women in groups have nowhere to go like men do. I'm thinking slightly classier, somewhere women can go and relax and have a drink without being hassled by lecherous twatty men. I would like mostly male staff, plus an add on of male strippers/guys coming round to make conversation/private strip/dance (but to be told 'not interested' if just want a quiet nite with girls) just somewhere women could have a laugh on a friday saturday night, and at other times (or maybe separate area) just a quiet ladies club for women to have a drink or meet up with mates.

I'm not sure Ive sold this enough, but thats the general idea.

I think I saw something like this on tv not so long ago..they found venues and had nights like this rather than a permanent club

someone mentioned something about naked waiters for hire on here too..were they thinking of booking for a hen night or something and people were not all keen

yeah its always venues. The idea came up because we arranged a girlie weekend away for a group of us and though 'where are we going to go'? if we were blokes we'd end up in a lapdancing club, but we'll end up in some sleazy nightclub being groped by foul men, when we're all married and just dont want that sort of thing!

if you're all married don't you just want a nice meal and a swimming pool

no we wanna get very drunk on lots of vodka, look at pretty men (with no pressure) and dance the night away to good music

ah now dancing with just women is odd to me

I'm not sure, I do get what you're saying about lecherous blokes etc.. but I don't know if a place to ogle pretty men is the answer. I think I'd rather go to a nice pub or a spa with girlfriends.

I would say to get a general idea of what ladies think you could start a thread in chat asking if any ladies would go to or have been to a ladies club. You could also look on sites such as confetti to see where girls are going for hen nights etc..

Don't be afraid/embarrassed to ask for opinions!

I think this could work in a city somewhere, as surely loads of hen nights would love this kind of thing..

Not my kind of thing now - but hey I am not the market mosschops would be aiming for..

I think as long as not too sleazy and you have decent looking blokes etc, it could really work...

Well done for starting the new post Mosschops! I don't know about you but I thought the feedback was really constructive!

It made me remember an idea I had a couple of years back, although like most ideas I didn't do anything about it. Anyway, my idea was for a clothing hire shop, not fancy dress/ball gowns etc.. but regular clothes, to save buying a new outfit for a rare saturday night out.
