BOOBY BIRTHDAY CAKE FOR 8yo

My delightful son will be 8 on Friday. He has seen the cake he wants in Tesco - it's not the Thunderbirds one, nor the football one but A PAIR OF TITS (well the top of a pair in a bustiere). Would it be immoral to get this for him?

yes

TraceyP · 21/09/2004 17:42

It might not be immoral, but it'd be sure to get the other mummies at his birthday party choking on their tea! I don't think it would be quite right myself, depends on how much of a sense of humour your family and friends have got and whether you want to encourage him to be thinking this way about women yet.

soapbox · 21/09/2004 17:43

I think it would be worth it just to see the reaction of the PC brigade

Mum2girls · 22/09/2004 09:15

PMSL jampot!!! Blimey, don't know - I just think it's hilarious. Could you buy him 2 - and have the booby cake at home maybe?

Northerner · 22/09/2004 09:17

PMSL!!!!! Very funny, but not appropriate.

lou33 · 22/09/2004 09:23

Agree with Mum2girls. It might be better if he has a more age appropriate one for public consumption, and keep that one at home, if you have no objection to it yourself.

coppertop · 22/09/2004 09:49

Could make for some interesting photos of him blowing out the candles on his birthday cake. Probably best avoided if you're having a party though.

I wouldn't.

SoupDragon · 22/09/2004 10:35

I wouldn't get it for a public party, no.

i thuink 2 cakes are in order. but then i'm not too worried by things like this.

dont know how a booby cake can be negative, its only the human body after all. (my dd1 who is 4 insist she has big boobies and i have only have nipples).

i assume this cake is the cleavage one, no nipples on show?

NomDePlume · 22/09/2004 10:40

I think this is a tongue in cheek post, too. But even so, I DEFINITELY wouldn't do it....

Angeliz · 22/09/2004 10:41

I wouldn't, especially after reading batter's post.
She's right, all the little girls would probably be embarrassed!
Tell him he can have a boob cake at 18

woodpops · 22/09/2004 10:45

You're not really considering it are you??

Thomcat · 22/09/2004 10:49

OMG! What a little monkey! I wouldn't get a pair of boobs cake for an 8 year old - no way.
Think it's funny that that is what he has chosen but personally would not entertain the idea.

woodpops · 22/09/2004 10:58

I expect his dad was very prod of him. My dh would just say, that's my boy!!!!!

jampot · 22/09/2004 11:47

sorry if I caused offence. He really did want the booby cake (no nips) but has settled for the chocolate Happy Birthday cake with liberal amounts of sweets - bad for his teeth but his innocent mind remains unblemished

and no I did not intend to buy it - although may get it for dh's birthday....

This thread has made me giggle today. It's funny how ds's do things like this. My ds last week asked the lady on the till in Sainsburys for a willy because mummy hasn't got one!!!!!
