Motivation to exercise on your own

I am really fed up because the council has stopped the creche for my yoga class, so we can't go any more. I went for a whole year, and both really liked it, and I am now realizing what a big difference it made to my stress levels, to get out of the office by 5.30 one day a week, and also the meditation. The classes in the private gyms are too expensive, and I can't afford or get a babysitter at those times. So, the answer is for me to get up early and practise on my own, or practise when I come in from work. Ds is quite keen to, and took some yoga lessons, but I am having a huge obstacle in motivating myself on my own. The more tired I am, the harder it is to get up early, and then the lack of this stretching and relaxation makes me less efficient at work and more tired. I am very energetic and motivated in other areas of my life, but I am struggling now without my class. What do you do to get the motivation to exercise on your own?

I have just resumed going swimming three times a week. Being deeply shallow, I am motivated by vanity and self-interest - I look and feel better. Also I find I can think about the swimming as me-time; nobody else to bother me, just me and the water and my peculiarly repulsive hat.

I really need motivation to exercise. Keep looking at amazon for exercise videos and have just recommended a website to a mumsnetter who wants to buy a mini-trampoline... but having got round to doing anything for own fitness and I'm sat here drinking coffee and eating a chocolate biscuit. I need a serious kick up the ar$e.

why don't you get a yoga video and pop it in the machine - or get someone more strong willed to do it for you. or set your mobile phone's alarm to go off to remind you at a certain time - i know I always 'forget' till its too late.
Then you can pretend to yourself that you will just 'watch' the video lounging on the couch. but once you see it on the screen - you may feel inclined to join in - even if it only works 50% of the time - better than nothing tho.
I find if i put on some loud pumping music i get inspired to do some aerobics - but if you want yoga/relaxing - maybe loud music isn't the best idea.
