eugh, I would have thought so, there should be downloadable instructions on Britax's site. Good luck

No instructions on their website that I can find . Have emailed them a query, but don't suppose they will answer as quickly as I'd like!

How odd On others we've had you unhook the shoulder straps behind the seat and thread forwards through the seat and can then remove the cover but you may be able to tell more from the Renaissance instructions(think the headrest works in the same way).

Instructions listed on the Roemer website but there is a system error downloading it.

I have a Britax Duo Plus Isofix (I think that's what it is called!), anyway it is the Group 1 car seat.

We had a poo accident on it and I put it in the washing machine and it came out very well. Be warned it is extremely difficult to get the cover on and off so be really careful to remember or write down how you do it (instructions not great)! Straps v complicated or maybe I am very stupid!

Thanks for trying Liz. I think I'll wait until dh gets home (about 11:30pm!) and then make him fiddle with it until he finds a way, unless anyone with experience comes along in the mean time.

I'm sure I'm more stupid than you when it comes to stuff like this crokky! Where did you get your instructions from?

The instructions for the cover removal are in the main booklet thing that came with the car seat. After the installation bit I think.

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/07/2007 21:09

Ah, will have to wait for dh anyway then, as I have no idea where he will have put those (though more than likely nor does he ).

They are n't in a pocket behind the seat itself by any chance ?

crokky · 31/07/2007 21:11

There is a mesh pocket on the back of the carseat that holds the instructions, might they be in there?

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/07/2007 21:14

Err, is this where I mention that I don't actually know how to take the seat out of the car .

If it is the isofix, you do it like this:

on each side of the seat near the back, you'll see the smallish isofix clip things. Each one is made of a red part and a green part. What you do each side (both sides simultaneously) is put 2 fingers on the back of the red bit and use thumb to squeeze green bits towards red. Green bits are like pushing buttons and this will release the isofixings and you can then lift seat out. Then you have to fit the isofix protector plastic thing or be careful not to damage the metal legs.

Thank you crokky. Dh tried to explain it to me on the phone earlier, but once we got to the point of verging on rowing, we decided to give up! Thanks to your instructions, I now have it out, and the instructions are in the back pocket. Now I just have to try and understand the cover removing page .

crokky · 31/07/2007 21:36

That page is a nightmare!!!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/07/2007 21:42

I have it off .

I'll be letting dh put it back on though .

Now I just have to hope that it dries overnight, as I need to go out tomorrow morning!
