how to remove red 'dye' from tissue paper off ds's hands?

just washing them alone isnt moving the dye at all

any suggestions? (tried a sponge which didnt work either...)

swarfega with gritty bits

or liquid soap / washing up liquid with a handful of sugar

or toothpaste

Swarfega is the jelly-like soap stuff thus garage mechanics etc use for getting off engine oil, grease etc - we always ahve it by the sink in the kitchen for DH's bike fiddlign so it's my first port of call.

I amazed BIL witht the handwash and sugar trick, he had really oily dirty hands and was looking for swarfega. For really dry rough hands sugar and olive oil is good too, not so good for cleaning though .
